Engr. Ghulam Mustafa Ujjan is a leading figure in Sindh’s water sector, known for his impactful contributions to irrigation reform, participatory water management, and sustainable agriculture. As General Manager (Transition) at the Sindh Irrigation & Drainage Authority (SIDA), he has spearheaded major initiatives such as the National Drainage Program, Sindh Water Sector Improvement Project, and the Sindh Water & Agriculture Transformation (SWAT) project. His work focuses on empowering Farmers’ Organizations, improving irrigation efficiency, addressing soil salinity, and promoting climate-resilient practices in vulnerable regions like Badin and Mirpurkhas. He has played a central role in institutional capacity building, canal operation reforms, and integrating community voices into water governance. Through partnerships with international agencies, academic institutions, and local stakeholders, Engr. Ujjan continues to shape policy, lead field-based innovation, and champion inclusive, sustainable water resource management across Sindh.
