Dr. Imran Ahmed, with over 25 years of national and international experience, is a recognized expert in climate change, water resources management, irrigation and drainage systems, and hydrologic modeling of both surface and subsurface water. He is currently serving as the Director of the Panjwani–Hisaar Water Institute (PHWI) at NED University, where he leads interdisciplinary research and capacity-building initiatives. In 2013, he founded the groundbreaking Water Modeling Center at NED, pioneering the use of watershed-scale computer models with a focus on non point and point source pollution control. His work is distinguished by an integrated approach to climate change impact assessment, incorporating variables such as precipitation, temperature, and wind dynamics. Dr. Imran has made substantial contributions to projects supported by international agencies including the World Bank, UN-Habitat, NDMA, and the Asian Development Bank. With over 100 publications in leading national and international journals and conferences, he continues to shape the future of water and climate resilience in Pakistan through innovative science and policy engagement.
